Great day in the morning! It has been exactly that. We did, however, get off to a shaky start. We arrived at the location of our first concert to find out that they had cancelled us! The excuse was construction and the threat of swine flu…oh well…

So, we took a little longer, relaxing picnic at Central Park. It was an absolutely beautiful day!!! Next we did a concert at Lott Residence only to find that one of the staff who worked there had visited with us on the train yesterday! New York is a small town!!! That concert went very well. We even met a man who had dated a girl from Tyler many years ago. Those Tyler connections keep popping up.

Afterwards we did a tour in Central Park and spent some time at Bethesda Fountain and even sang a few songs under the bridge. On our way out of the park, we had a little rain that forced us back to Grand Central Station for supper. After supper, we journeyed down to the New York City rescue mission. The concert there was fabulous! The kids really ministered well, and the men responded well. Deanna Sims mentioned that she was thinking before the concert that singing in this mission was our Carnegie Hall. She was right! I’d rather minister to these folks than sing in that famous concert hall. Then, just to reinforce that thought, after the concert one of the men shook her hand and proclaimed, “Carnegie Hall!” Now isn’t it just like God to work that way? He is amazing and is doing amazing things in our midst.

Wish you could be here with us.  But then again, you are.  Your support and your prayers make you partners in this wonderful ministry!

Blessings,
